This year's Moncton Wake Up Call breakfast is happening on Friday, October 19th at the Delta Beausejour, 750 Main St. to raise money for a disease that affects one in seven New Brunswick men and their families. Legs for Literacy will be happening from October 19-21 with the kick off to Race Weekend with the Running Room's 3km Friendship Run (Free) on Friday, October 19th at 300 Main Street. Next the Family Run Walk (1km and 2km) will start from Downing Street on Saturday, October 20th for children ages 0-13 years and their family members. The Salisbury Lions Club will be having an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast on Saturday, October 20th from 7-10am, 63 Peter St. in Salisbury. The menu will consist of pancakes, sausages, pure maple syrup, donuts, muffins, coffee, tea and juice. Cost is $8 for Adults, $3 for Children ages 6-10 and FREE for Pre-School. All proceeds for community work.

The October Genealogical meeting of the Southeastern Branch of the New Brunswick Genealogical Society will be held on Saturday, October 20th at 2pm at the St. John Baptist Anglican Church, 28 Woolridge Ave. in Riverview (downstairs). This meeting will be a workshop called "Growing our Southeastern Branch". All members are encouraged to attend and visitors are welcome!

Neptune Drive-In presents their Halloween of Horrors II on Saturday, October 20th in support of the Greater Moncton SPCA. Hotel Transylvania and Halloween 2018 will be showing. Doors open at 5pm and the show starts at dusk (approximately 6:30pm). Tickets are $20 per vehicle, available at the Greater Moncton SPCA (116 Greenock St.), online at eventbrite.ca and at the gate. Mark October 21, 2018 as "Race Day" on your calendars for the 2018 IGT Legs for Literacy event located in Moncton, NB.
