Charity Lacks Donations to Serve Moncton

New Brunswick charity Big Hearts Small City says their currently unable to help those in need due to a lack of donations. The organization offers assistance in crisis situations – often finding places to stay for those stranded in emergencies or for victims of domestic violence that can’t find space in shelters. It charity currently operates in Moncton, Fredericton and Miramichi. Founder and President Jason Surette says during the month of August, over $1,200 was spent helping people, while only receiving $100 in donations.
