Some YMCA programs free for fifth-graders

The Greater Moncton YMCA is once again offering free membership to grade 5 students for the school year.

The deadline to sign up is October 1st. Students and a parent or guardian can bring their school ID card or Grade 4 report card with a passing grade to the front desk of the Y at 30 War Veterans Avenue, complete a membership form and get started.

Fifth-graders from any Metro Moncton school are eligible for free swimming lessons, exercise classes and other drop-in activities. Last year 225 kids registered.
