Anti-Fentanyl spray issued to RCMP

RCMP officers will soon be carrying a nasal spray to protect themselves and others against contact with opioids including the potentially deadly Fentanyl.

The force will begun distributing naloxone kits to officers to use on themselves or others to reduce or reverse the effects. Commissioner Bob Paulson said the danger of the powerful Fentanyl cannot be overstated as the synthetic drug has already killed thousands.
