Shrinking Workforce Lowers NB Unemployment Rate

New Brunswick’s unemployment rate went down to 9.4% in August. But that’s only because 4600 people left the workforce- skewing the numbers. Stats Can says the province actually lost 5500 full-time jobs and gained 2600 part-time positions.
