NB Progressive Conservatives to Choose New Party Leader Today

New Brunswick’s Tories are getting set to choose their next leader today. Political scientist Tom Bateman of St. Thomas University says any of the seven candidates running for the top job could win. He says the number of candidates is a sign the party thinks it has a chance to win the next election in two years. In the running are M-L-A’s Blaine Higgs, Brian MacDonald and Jake Stewart, former M-L-A Jean Dube, former M-P Mike Allen, former Saint John mayor Mel Norton and Moncton lawyer Monica Barley.
