Stephane Dion versus Russia

Our Foreign Affairs Minister traded barbs with the Russian ambassador to the U-N yesterday.

The General Assembly was debating a measure put forward by Canada to put more pressure on Russia and Syrian to end the civil war there.

Stephane Dion called for an immediate end to Russian and Syrian airstrikes in Aleppo.  Russian ambassador Vitaly Churkin questioned if Canada was committed to fighting terrorism.
