Large seniors’ complex proposed

Shannex is exploring the possibility of a major seniors housing project.

The Times and Transcript reports it has asked Moncton City Council if it is open to rezoning some land between Mapleton Road and Wyse Street behind the Mapleton Centre shopping complex. Shannex is considering a project which would provide beds for over 930 seniors in eight buildings, some of which would be ten storeys.

Shannex has a number of seniors facilities in Nova Scotia and Ontario as well as the Parkland Estates in Riverview.
