The Dodgers beat Washington 4-3 to win their divisional series and move on to the N-L-C-S against the Cubs.
The Blue Jays open the A-L-C-S in Cleveland tonight.

In the NHL…the Canadiens opened their season by beating the Sabres 4-1.  Jets downed Carolina 5-4 in overtime.  Bruins opened with a 6-3 win over Columbus.

In the NFL’s Thursday night game…Chargers beat the Broncos 21-13.
