Money for domestic violence programs

Ottawa has announced $3.4 million in funding over 5 years for provincial domestic violence programs…including services for First Nations.

The Times and Transcript reports Metro Moncton MP Ginette Petitpas Taylor made the announcement along with MP Sean Casey and provincial Justice Minister Denis Landry.

Petitpas Taylor, who worked with victim services for over two decades, says services for First Nations will complement work by the inquiry into missing and murdered indigenous women.
