The Blue Jays handled the Texas Rangers 10-1 in the first game of their American league divisional series.  The Red Sox lost their opening game 5-4 in Cleveland.  Game two in both series go this afternoon.

In the M-H-L…Commandos lost 4-3 to the Western Capitals in Summerside.

In the NHL Pre-season…Canadiens blew away the Leafs 6-1. Canucks shut down the Flames 4-0. Oilers beat the Jets 5-2.

In the NFL’s Thursday nighter…Arizona downed the 49ers 33-21.
