Military bases in bad shape

Chronic underspending is hurting the country’s military bases, according to an audit by DND.

It indicates many bases are falling apart because of a lack of spending on maintenance and repairs.

The government has committed to equipping Armed Forces members with the resources required to do their jobs and improve their facilities. However the audit says that money does not address the underfunding identified in the audit.
