Lawyer facing charges

A lawyer was in court in Moncton yesterday…in handcuffs.

72 year old John David Hughes is charged with assaulting a woman earlier this month and committing intimidation by using violence to prevent her from calling 9-1-1, according to the Times and Transcript.

Hughes has been released and will be back in court October 24. A prosecutor from Fredericton will be brought in to handle the case.
