Russia shut down Finland 3-0 at the World Cup of Hockey knocking Team North America out of the playoffs and setting up a semi-final tomorrow  against Team Canada.

In baseball…the Blue Jays were off and fell further behind the Red Sox who beat Baltimore 5-3. Yankees were shut down 2-0 by the Rays.

In the NFL’s Thursday nighter…Patriots, without Tom Brady, beat the Houston Texans 27-0.
