Fish waste fertilizer funding

The province is helping a company set up a facility in Richibucto which will turned waste from seafood processing into fertilizer.

Premier Brian Gallant announced Omera Shells Inc will create as many as 74 jobs in the area with help from a $440,000 payroll rebate and $2.5 million in loans, according to the Times and Transcript.

Construction is underway now and the first 30 jobs are expected this fall…then another 20 in the new year.
