The Fisher Cats swept the Saint John Alpines three straight in their first round series fonishing them off 3-1 last night. They play Charlottetown in the second round starting Wednesday.

The Blue Jays are still atop the A-L East after a 5-3 win over the Rays. The Red Sox are a game behind after losing 1-0 to Oakland.  Yankees downed the Orioles 5-2.

In the CFL…a comeback by the Roughtiders came up just short as the Bombers eked out a 28-25 win.
