Canada’s ambassador to China, Guy Saint-Jacques, says formal free trade talks between the two countries are bogged down over the environment, labour, and concerns about state-owned enterprises in China.

The Chinese government says a feasibility study will be launched soon on an eventual free trade deal. Saint-Jacques says the two sides have not yet agreed to begin formal negotiations.
