Gov’t takes from contingency fund to cover NB Power

The province has dipped into its contingency fund because NB Power revenue isn’t where it was expected to be.

Treasury Board President Roger Melanson said in his first quarter fiscal update yesterday that $20 million is coming out of the fund. Returns on investment are down over $49 million…mainly because of the drop in revenues at NB Power.
