Used Book Sale
Central United Church, 22 Church St. will be having their annual Used Book Sale which will take place in the atrium of the Community Peace Centre. There will be fiction and non-fiction books in hard cover and paperback at a great price of $1 and $2. The dates will be Friday, May 3rd from 10am-8pm and Saturday, May 4th from 10am-4pm.

Harvest House Atlantic is having a 7th annual Walk/Run for the Homeless! There is are 2km or 5km walks or a 5km run available. Participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship pledges through family, friends, co-workers etc. All proceeds raised go directly to services which help feed, clothe and house those in need. Your support also helps people struggling with homelessness find a path forward through housing, schooling (GED) and sustainable employment, thus reducing the homelessness rate in our community. The Shoppers Drug Mart Love You Run for Women will be taking place on Sunday, May 5th at Centennial Park, in support of local women's mental health programs delivered by the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre. There will be a 5K and 10K timed run as well as a 1K little steps walk where baby strollers are allowed. The Riverview Middle School students will be having a Showcase/Market on Monday, May 6th from 1-6pm in the gymnasium. There will be everything from stress balls to weaved dog toys within over 100 enterprises! Profits will be donated to a charity (SPCA, Make a Wish, IWK etc..)
