The Canadian Army Reserve will be having an Open House on Saturday, September 30th from 9am-3pm. It will showcase the important work Reservists do for Canadians through interactive displays, activities and conversations. It will be part of the Army's overall initiative to recruit new members to the Reserves. The Armouries are located at 299 Park St. (Corner of St. George & Vaughn Harvey).

The Magnetic Hill Lions Club will be having a community breakfast on Saturday, October 14th from 8-11am at the Lions Club- 3348 Route 126. The menu will consist of eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, toast, baked beans, juice, tea and coffee. The cost is $7 for Adults and $4 for Children under 6. Money raised will help the Lions Club support the Sick Children's Fund and other worthwhile needs in the community.
