On Wednesday, October 26th at the Trinity Superstore, join Lynn Gaudet, In-store dietitian, for a free session to learn about how and when to introduce solid foods to your baby and get answers to common questions parents have on introducing first foods. This includes a demonstration on how to make your own baby food. Babies are welcome. It will be from 10:30am to 1:30pm. To register, email lynn.gaudet@loblaw.ca or call 874-5188.

Big Hearts Small City Inc. needs your votes Moncton! They want to start a furniture donation program for beds and help with deliveries. If they win, funds will help purchase a large box truck! You can use up to 18 votes and voting is open from October 11-28. Please go to avicacommunityfund.org  for more information or to vote.

Moncton Headstart Inc. is currently collecting coats, hats, snowsuits, mitts, scarves and boots in good condition to share with children of all ages (newborn to high-school) for low income families in Metro Moncton. These items can be dropped off by October 28th at any location of Red Cap Quality Cleaners, Jean Coutu Pharmacies and at Moncton Headstart (1111 Mountain Rd.)

Port Elgin Home and School presents House of Lost Souls Saturday, October 29th! 3-5pm for the younger ones (not as scary) and 6-9:30pm for older ones (you’ll be scared!) Admission is $5 (8 yrs and under) and $10 (9 yrs and up) It is located at 3716 highway 16, Melrose, N.B. There will be treat bags!    

K94-5 Presents Zombie Apocalypse Paintball!! Cost is $25 per person and this includes a railroad track ride and 200 paintballs for the tractor pulled wagon Zombie shoot. There will be a Fall Fair on Saturday, October 29th from 9am to 1pm at St. Paul’s United Church, 404 Cleveland Ave. in Riverview. There will be something for everyone at this old fashioned Fall Fair; homemade baking, crafts, jams and attic treasures. There will also be a silent auction and musical entertainment. The café will offer a light lunch and snacks. Admission is free and proceeds from this event will help support local charitable work.

Murray Corner United Church will be having a Turkey Supper on Saturday, October 29th. They are located on Route 955 Murray Corner, N.B. Price is: $15 for adults, $8 for children 12 years and under and preschool is free. It starts at 4pm with tickets going on sale at 3:30. Take-outs available. Everyone is welcome!

There will be a turkey supper on Saturday, October 29th at St. James Anglican Church, 101 Fairview Drive from 5-7pm. Cost is $13 per adult, $7 for children 6 to 10 and $2 for 5 and under. Take-out orders are also available from 4-5pm. Call 854-5499 for more info or to reserve your take-out orders.
