Extension granted to huge campground project
Extension granted to huge campground project
Developers of a huge campground project have been given more time to begin construction.
Shediac Town Council originally said the developers had to have construction underway by this past July…but the campground owners have been tied up with legal battles, according to the Times and Transcript.
Opponents say the 80 acre site will cause traffic problems and possibly even exascerbate potential flooding. Opponents have also expressed concerns one of the developers is cabinet minister Victor Boudreau and he’s getting kid-glove treatment during the approval process.
Council voted to grant a deadline extension of three years for construction to begin.
