Team Canada won the World Cup with a last minute goal by Brad Marchand to beat Europe 2-1.

In the M-HL…the Commandos beat the Lumberjacks 6-3 in Bridgewater.

In the NHL…The Leafs lost a 1-0 shootout with the Sabres.  Ottawa beat the Canadiens 4-3 in overtime.  Jets downed the Wild 4-1.

The Blue Jays and Orioles are tied in the wildcard race again after Baltimore shut down the Jays 4-0. Seattle is two games behind them with three games remaining this weekend…and Toronto’s three are against the Red Sox, who lost to the Yankees 4-1 yesterday.

Bengals beat the Dolphins 22-7 in the NFL’s Thursday night game,.
