Tobique First Nation accepts federal settlement for land

Tobique First Nation has accepted a land claim settlement from the federal government.  Members voted 865-186 in favour of $39.2 million in compensation for 10,000 acres of land.  Negotiations have been going on for decades, and each member will now get at least $13,500.
