Shift changes anger hospital workers

Hospital workers in Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton are up in arms over major scheduling changes by Horizon Health.

CUPE’s Norma Robinson says the changes, announced Friday, need to be rethought by management. She told Brunswick News workers are upset and angry because the changes make no sense. There have been some layoffs. Some workers are getting shorter hours, some longer. Some have been in set schedules for years and now have to make other childcare arrangements. The union will be talking to Horizon Health this week to find out what they are doing and why.
