Province Appealing Alleged Daycare Abuse Decision
The province is appealing a decision that cleared a Memramcook daycare owner of mistreating children. 58-year-old Celine Lang was found not-guilty in September of assaulting ten children in her care along with an employee in 2014. The CBC is reporting that crown prosecutors filed an appeal this week claiming the trial judge erred in how he interpreted evidence and witness credibility during Lang’s trial. Witnesses testified during the trial that Lang bit children, tied them chairs and doused kids with water.
