Diamond theft arrests

A Toronto-area couple has been arrested in connection with a diamond theft in Saint John…and will be returned to the Port City.

70 year old Grigori Zaharov and 44 year old Natalia Feldman are charged with switching a fake stone with a $10,000 loose diamond at a store last week at W. Smith and Company Jewellers.

The two are also suspects in a similiar diamond heist in Charlottetown worth $20,000. Police are asking jewellers across the country to check their stock for fake diamonds
