Concerns are being raised by government and First Nations officials about a rash of suicides among young girls in a northern Saskatchewan community. A 10 year old in Deschambault Lake is the fourth girl to try to committ suicide just this month. .
Prime Minister Trudeau calls it a tremendous tragedy. Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall says more work needs to be done. Grand Chief Ron Michel wants northern communities to create a plan to stop these suicides.
