Not guilty plea in gas line break

A contractor has entered not guilty pleas in connection with a gas line rupture in Riverview in May last year, according to the Times and Transcript.

Enterprises Bastech owner Thierry Basque will go to trial on charges under the Occupational Health and Safety Act in connection with the gas line break. It happened during sidewalk construction and asphalt paving on McDowell Avenue. He’ll be back in cort next month when a trial date will be set.
