Moncton negotiating land swap

Moncton is in the process of negotiating a land swap with a developer so it can preserve green space around Castle Manor.

The Times and Transcript reports council has voted to swap a downtown parking lot for the green space owned by Galco Atlantic Investments Network Ltd.  The parking lot is behind Main Street and near Robinson, Lutz and Queen streets.

The green space is appraised higher than the parking lot so they are still negotiating a cash payment as well.
