9-11 – Gander
Canadians and Americans gathered in Gander on the 15th anniversary of 9-11.
Motorcycles and emergency vehicles provided an escort for a piece of steel beam from the World Trade Center, which rolled through Moncton last week, on it’s way to the Gander Airport where it’ll become part of a memorial.
Nearly seven thousand passengers were stranded in the small community for three days. Local people opened their hearts and homes, providing lodging food and other assistance.
