Debec shooting charges

A man from Speerville has been charged in connection with a shooting in Debec last weekend.

A 41 year old man was taken to hospital after being shot outside a home there…injuries not life-threatening.

36 year old Walter Patrick Michaud was arrested a short time later and remains in custody on a charge of discharging a fire arm with intent. He’ll be back in court next week. RCMP believe it was an isolated incident…that the victim and accused know each other.
