McAdam quakes remain a mystery
A seismologist says the cause of a swarm of more than 100 earthquakes, that shook homes in McAdam earlier this year, may remain a mystery.
Stephen Halchuk at Earthquakes Canada says there’s no defined fault, so it may be the result of an area of weakness in the earth’s crust. He also says the quakes may happen again. A 3.3 magnitude quake in February and a lot of pre and after shocks shook homes and broke windows.
