Energy and mines ministers wrap up Winnipeg meetings

This week’s meetings of Canada’s federal, provincial and territorial energy and mines ministers underscored the need to ensure economic growth and environmental stewardship go hand in hand.  Framework and an action plan for energy efficiency standards were agreed to, as well as collaborating on new and enhanced inter-jurisdictional power transmission interties, smart grids and charging or refuelling stations for alternative-fuel vehicles.
