Anne of Green Gables premiers on Canadian TV in 1985. An Arrow Air DC 8 aircraft crashes trying to take off from Gander Newfoundland, killing all 258 people on board. As we were half way through the winter of 1985, Prince and Ashford & Simpson were in Casey’s top 40 countdown.
