When Broadcast media Icon Peter Mansbridge announced his imminent retirement, the speculation as to who would capture the vacant throne he occupied for decades on CBC’s The National, was immediate. For us on the East Coast many look to Ian Hanomansing as the Heir Apparent and that’s fine only there are many suitable candidates. A reportĀ in June suggested there could be as many as three Anchors to deliver the day’s Headlines as of Oct. 30th, broadcasting from an environment that will be tech friendly so as to keep up with the many different vehicles by which people are accessing News these days. So Good Luck Ian, the official announcement is expected at 2pm our time.
