Coming To A School Near You

Every year, MADD Canada produces a new School Assembly Program to educate students in Grades 7 – 12 about the risks of impaired driving. Road crashes are the number one cause of death among Canadian youth, and alcohol and/or drugs are involved in more than half of those crashes.

The 2019-2020 School Assembly Program, titled Over the Edge, depicts the tragic and permanent consequences of impaired driving.  Shown on a giant screen in an auditorium or gymnasium setting, the 45-minute presentation features a fictional story where teens are faced with making choices about alcohol and/or drug consumption and driving. That fictional story is followed by emotional interviews with real-life victims of impaired driving.

There will be 56-presentations of Over the Edge being directly sponsored by Alcool NB Liquor (ANBL) over thecurrent school year. As a Provincial Sponsor, ANBL supports the delivery of this important sober driving messaging to thousands of students across New Brunswick.
