‘Girl Rising’ Free Screening Tonight
Emily Green is a grade 12 student at Riverview High School and a youth advocate for World Vision Canada. Tonight she is hosting a film screening of the movie “Girl Rising” at the Moncton Wesleyan to raise awareness of gender equality and access to girls’ education. The movie follows the true stories of nine girls in developing countries as they overcome obstacles to access their education. This event is a part of International Development Week, as their theme this year is “together through gender equality”. Doors open at 6:45pm and the movie will start at 7:00pm with a discussion and refreshments to follow afterward. Best part: tickets are FREE.
